Window Screens Repair and Replacement
Window screens are a simple but essential part of keeping your home comfortable and protected. High-quality window screens allow fresh air to circulate through your home while helping keep insects, debris, and outdoor pests where they belong—outside. Whether your screens are damaged, worn out, or missing altogether, professionally built window screens restore airflow, improve visibility, and help maintain the clean look of your windows while providing long-lasting durability.
Stronger Window Screens With Frames Built to Last
Our custom window screens are designed with durability in mind, especially at the corners where most standard screens tend to fail. Many traditional screen frames rely on weak plastic corners that can crack, loosen, or break over time, but our screens use reinforced corner construction that keeps the frame strong and secure. This design helps prevent separation, bending, and everyday wear, ensuring your screens maintain their shape and tight fit for years. The result is a cleaner look, better airflow, and a longer-lasting window screen that stands up to regular use without the common corner failures found in typical screens.

How We Measure, Build and Fit Window Screens
Most calls about window screens are one of three things: the mesh has torn, the frame has gone soft and no longer holds its shape, or the screen has been missing for so long that nobody remembers what happened to it. All three are fixable, and in most cases fixable the same day we come out.
The visit starts with measuring. Houses in Orange County were built across many decades and almost none of them have windows at consistent sizes, so window screens get cut to the opening in front of us rather than pulled from stock. The van carries frame stock, mesh and the tooling to assemble on site, which is why a whole house can usually be done in one appointment.
Mesh choice is worth a conversation. Standard fiberglass is fine for most windows and is the least expensive to replace later. Tighter weaves cut glare and heat on west-facing rooms, and pet-resistant mesh holds up where a cat has decided the screen is a door. If a room is uncomfortably bright in the afternoon, the mesh is usually a cheaper fix than anything involving glass.
We have been building window screens here since 1995 and use premium American-made frame and mesh materials, which is less about marketing than about what happens in year three. Frames that flex go out of square, and a screen that is out of square will not sit in the track. Rebuilding it properly the first time is cheaper than doing it twice.
Windows are one part of the house. If your doors need attention too, we fit retractable screen doors, security screen doors, patio sliding screen doors and swinging screen doors, plus large format screens for openings up to twenty-nine feet. Doing the windows and doors on one visit saves a second trip charge.
One practical note on cleaning: the guidance published by the U.S. Department of Energy on window coverings is a useful reminder that screens and shading affect how much heat a room takes on. Keeping window screens clean and intact is a small thing that helps.
